GENERAL CONDITIONS

All safaris are subject to quota availability at the time of booking. Brad Rolston African Hunting cannot guarantee the availability of such quotas as they are regulated by the government and/or private landowners in the specific areas.

The available dates will be in accordance with the availability of camps and quotas on the day on which the hunt is booked and confirmed.

Preference of available dates, and confirmation of the hunt, will be given on a first-come-first-served basis, once a deposit has been paid.

Brad Rolston African Hunting cannot be held responsible should the government and/or private landowners change or withdraw specific quota allocations after they have been confirmed by the two parties. Should there be such an occurrence, every effort will be made by Brad Rolston African Hunting to find additional quota in another area, so as not to disrupt the hunter’s safari.

While the changing of hunting areas for a booked and confirmed hunt is highly unlikely, if after consultation, and subsequent approval of the hunter, based on the knowledge, observations and experience of Brad Rolston African Hunting, it is decided that it is in the best interest of the hunter, that such a change be made, changes that are in the best interest of the hunter will be made in this regard.

Should Brad Rolston African Hunting, and the hunter not enter into a signed contract, prior to the commencement of the hunt, then the terms and conditions as set out in this document will apply.

Taxes, license fees, custom duties and CITES permits, are all government controlled.

Prices are based on the ruling exchange rate at the time of listing of the relevant price list. Prices are subject to change without notice and Brad Rolston African Hunting reserves the right to adjust the same should the exchange rate between the date of entering into the contract and the last date of the safari differ to an extent where severe losses can be incurred.

Hunters must be in possession of a valid passport and a visa (where applicable by prescribed laws). It is the responsibility of the hunter to ensure that their travel documents are in order. Invitation letters will be issued by Brad Rolston African Hunting upon confirmation of the hunt.

Hunters are responsible for all health, medical evacuation, travel, trip-interruption and cancellation insurances and should contact their insurance broker or travel agent for any queries or questions they have in this regard.

Hunters are responsible for all inoculations and preventative medications prior to their safari and should consult their personal doctor or physician regarding the relevant health regulations and requirements. Certain areas are high-risk malaria areas.

Animals wounded or lost are payable in full.

If for any reason during, or 60 days before the commencement of the safari, a hunter reduces the number of animals he/she has booked, and which were allocated to him/her by Brad Rolston African Hunting, or he/she declines the opportunity of hunting any of the animals so allocated, then the full price of the package/trophy is payable, less 50% on the trophy fee which forms part of any package or the trophy.

Should a hunter not be able to take a primary trophy during his/her hunt, and Brad Rolston African Hunting is in a position to be able to accommodate the hunter at a later time during the hunting season, to hunt the same species of animal, on the same license, the hunter will be required to pay an  additional fee of $750 (seven hundred and fifty US Dollars) per day in order to cover the costs of such second safari, plus all additional expenses that may be incurred during such second safari. Brad Rolston African Hunting is however not under any obligation to make such a second safari in the same season available to a client who fails to take his primary trophy during the originally booked safari, but will make every effort to make such a hunt possible for the hunter.

No hunt booked for a particular hunting season is transferable to any future season at the same rate. The new rates applicable to the future season will then apply.

Travel and accommodation arrangements prior to, and after the contracted period of the hunt, are the responsibility of the hunter. These arrangements can be made by Brad Rolston African Hunting if requested by the hunter.

Hunters are required to submit all relevant information necessary for the hunt, on the forms and questionnaires that are forwarded by Brad Rolston African Hunting, upon completion thereof.

It is the hunter’s responsibility to ensure that he is in possession of the necessary temporary import permit(s) for his/her firearms as prescribed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Upon completion of the hunt, and once the trophies have been delivered to the Taxidermist or Shipping Agent, the hunter must correspond and deal directly with the designated company, and is responsible for all taxidermy, packing, dipping and shipping costs. Brad Rolston African Hunting cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage once the trophies have been delivered to the shipping agent. Trophy insurance is strongly advised. Please consult your personal broker in this regard.
